Application Schedule & Deadlines

The Master of Arts and C.A.G.S. in Counseling Psychology programs follow a fixed deadline application policy and calendar, as follows:

APPLICATIONS FOR SPRING SEMESTER 2016
October 5 - Application deadline for spring semester.
October 26 - Applicants will be informed whether they have been admitted.
November 9 - Deadline to decide and notify College regarding your decision to matriculate into program.  Deposit will be required.
January 11 - Classes begin

APPLICATIONS FOR SUMMER SEMESTER 2016
February 8 - Application deadline for summer semester.
March 15 - Applicants will be informed whether they have been admitted.
April 4 - Deadline to decide and notify College regarding your decision to matriculate into program.  Deposit will be required.
May 16 - Classes begin

APPLICATIONS FOR FALL SEMESTER 2016
March 7 -Application deadline for fall semester.
April 11 - Applicants will be informed whether they have been admitted.
May 2 - Deadline to decide and notify College regarding your decision to matriculate into program.  Deposit is required.
August 29 - Classes begin.

GRADUATE FELLOWSHIPS
Up to 10 Graduate Fellowships are offered annually to students who have strong academic records. Tuition waivers are granted for 30 credits. To be considered for a Graduate Fellowship, please write to the Program Director explaining your interest in the program and include a brief explanation of your background and career interests. Please note this is separate from all the application materials you forwarded to the Graduate Studies Office. Address your letter to Dr. Leonard Doerfler, Department of Psychology, Assumption College, 500 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609-1296.

GRADUATE FELLOWSHIPS DEADLINE
The deadline for applying for a Graduate Fellowship is March 7 regardless of the semester you are applying toward as your program start (spring, summer or fall).  All Graduate Fellowship candidates will be notified of the Admissions Committee's decision by April 11 regardless of your semester enrollment date.

NOTE:  To reserve your space in the program, there is a $200 deposit for matriculation. This deposit will be credited toward your first semester's classes. Students who do not register for classes shall forfeit the $200 deposit. Applications received after a particular deadline will be considered for the next semester.
